The Kamaka HB-2DĀ features aĀ bell shape designed by Sam Kamaka Jr. and Herb Ohta back in 1965. Mainly designed for picking, it produces bright, clear tones.Ā
All models are made of Hawaiian koa wood with a lacquer finish to show fine grain highlights. Necks are made of mahogany, and fingerboards and bridges are rosewood. All models now include a custom Kamaka Ukulele case.
Deluxe models feature a rosewood top binding, "rope" purfling, "rope" rosette around the soundhole, and higher graded koa wood with more figuring and curl.Ā
